The School of Medical Devices and Food at the University of Science and Technology mainly focuses on engineering aspects such as medical devices, as well as bioengineering.

: The school has established the core position of innovation and entrepreneurship education in the training of engineering talents, and established a full-process and full-coverage innovation and entrepreneurship education system of "classroom teaching-innovation experiment-project training-business incubation".

The school was the first in China to offer an entrepreneurship experimental class and a second major in entrepreneurship management. At the same time, as one of the first four acceptance points for the Shanghai University Student Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Fund, it has cultivated a total of 146 projects with a survival rate of nearly 62.3%, and has won a large number of student innovations.
