The Chinese Calligraphers Association was established in 1981.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association (CHINESE CALLIGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION) is a people's organization composed of calligraphers of all ethnic groups across the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. It is a national-level calligrapher, seal engraver, calligraphy theorist, calligraphy educator and calligraphy activity organization.

It is a national professional organization composed of , management workers and is a group member of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

On January 27, 2021, the Eighth National Congress of the Chinese Calligraphers Association concluded in Beijing, and Sun Xiaoyun was appointed as the chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association was founded in May 1981.

Since its establishment, calligraphy has made great progress in artistic creation, academic research, calligraphy education, external exchanges and organizational management.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association currently has 35 group members and more than 8,000 individual members.

The Chinese Calligraphers Association has an office, an organization department, a research department, an exhibition department, and an external relations department.
