Inner Mongolia Forestry College was founded in 1958. In 196, Inner Mongolia College of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine was renamed Inner Mongolia College of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. In 1999, Inner Mongolia Agricultural College and Inner Mongolia Forestry College merged to form Inner Mongolia Agricultural University.
