Founded in August 2006, Shanghai University Students' Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation is the first non-profit public offering foundation in China to promote university students' science and technology entrepreneurship. The foundation encourages scientific and technological innovation and also subsidizes entrepreneurs from all walks of life. The Foundation is committed to spreading entrepreneurial culture and supporting entrepreneurial practice, aiming at exploring a road of "two-wheel drive" system and mechanism innovation based on public welfare and supported by the market.

Entrepreneurship Foundation has carried out key work in the fields of entrepreneurship culture, entrepreneurship research, entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship projects. It was rated as "Shanghai Advanced Social Organization" and passed the 4A evaluation of standardized construction of social organizations. By March of 20 15, the foundation had established 16 fund branches and 5 special funds in conjunction with universities, districts and counties and incubators, and established a scientific and technological entrepreneurial network to spread entrepreneurial culture and cultivate entrepreneurial talents in all directions.

With its unique platform advantages, the Foundation hopes to gather resources from all walks of life to form a magnifying effect and improve the social innovation environment.
