What does the art gallery want?
Love in the Western Hills is on display in Spain. (original question: what do we want? ) At the opening ceremony of the exhibition "Love in the Western Hills", the director of Barcelona's Santa Monica Art Museum won lasting applause for his speech, and he is about to leave his post. This is his last exhibition as the curator of the museum. Some applause is obviously an opportunity to praise his contribution in the field of culture and art. As far as I know little, he is a famous intellectual, writer, poet and actor in this city, and his experience is related to the cultural and artistic history of Barcelona and even Spain. Today, I am leaving Barcelona, and I was invited to his home. He didn't let us sit down as soon as he entered the door, but began to introduce his collection of works at the door. From Tapies to Milo's contemporary art, the whole house was filled with his collection of books, works of art and historical photos. He showed me many works and documents that he cared most about, and of course, his works, essays and poems were indispensable. Finally, he showed me one of his movie stills, a historical story, which may be staged in China soon. I don't need to introduce the grand opening of "Xishan Love". Most people in the intellectual and cultural circles of this city are here. Some experts who study China's culture and problems also discuss China's present and artistic problems with me from time to time. The next day, Xiao Quan and I went to MNAC (Catalonia Museum). From the Middle Ages, through the art of different historical periods to the contemporary works, this is a systematic statement of European art history. Although MNAC is inferior to Prado Art Museum in Madrid in the sufficiency of representative works, its grand and rich collections and exhibitions can tell us rich historical and artistic information, quiet environment, spacious and magnificent space and advanced equipment, and its comprehensive aesthetic feeling far exceeds that of any art museum in China. We also went to the Tapiz Foundation Art Museum, where I was deeply impressed by the publication of an artist's art, ideas and related research, as well as the colorful and dazzling comprehensive derivatives. Miro Art Museum, Picasso Art Museum and other places related to history and art have all been there before, so this time we often walk the streets and try to experience the daily life of this city. As we all know, the whole Europe, including Spain, is experiencing a serious economic crisis. I met a China official in Madrid. He said that the economic crisis in Spain is so serious that it is difficult to describe its difficulty. Strangely, however, people still generally hang smiling faces, and they can feel optimism, boldness and passion everywhere from day to night. In Sophia Art Museum, people lined up to buy tickets to visit Dali's art exhibition, and the content of the exhibition was self-evident. In Barcelona at night, we can also appreciate the actors' love and enthusiasm for art itself from the folk flamenco performance. In this city, it seems that the essence of life is art, which is a kind of free enjoyment of life given by God-there seems to be no economic crisis here. Of course, I am not stupid enough to think that Spaniards are really not afraid of the economic crisis. They are really not anxious about life. They really won't realize their problems until the country collapses completely. In fact, every country and nation has its own problems to face and solve. What I want to say is: compared with the National Art Gallery, which represents our country, there are very few decent art exhibitions. Anyone can go in and show their things as long as they pay; Compared with our city, few art galleries present the cultural and artistic status of this city or country; Compared with our art education, we still lack a systematic and complete public platform; Compared with our poor publication of artists and art history, the lack of art collection in our art museum, the lack of culture of art investors in China, and the ridiculous situation of art only from the market index, compared with the rare historical buildings and humanistic environment that moisten the soul in various cities in China, not to mention the dull, anxious and even horrible appearance even if there is a lot of money in hand, Barcelona is cultural, artistic and full of humanity. As we all know, on a global scale, today's China is considered to be full of economic development and wealth. However, living in China, we know-I believe many western Renye Fang are very clear-that China has nothing now: no culture, no art, no morality, no education, in a word, no so-called "soft power", but we must know that without these, life does not belong to human beings, and so-called people want these. When I think about this problem, compared with Spain and Europe, where the economic crisis is serious, I think China today is really extremely poor, which really makes people cry.
