Li Guangqian is determined to use the money earned to support education and start cultural undertakings.

Li Guangqian, who has a successful career, never forgets to repay Sang Zi and the local society, and holds the belief of taking it from society and applying it to society. On the one hand, he supported schools in Xiamen University and Jimei Xue Cun and Huaqiao University, and donated kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools (Nan 'an Guoguang Middle School), hospitals and libraries in his hometown. On the other hand, we donated money to Nanyang University (initiated by Ambassador Liu Chen), University of Malaya and Singapore-Malaysia National Library.

He didn't do it for fame and fortune, but he was always diligent as long as he could help in education.

During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Li Guangqian founded "Ethnic Primary School" in Meishan, Nan 'an, his hometown. 1943, Guoguang Middle School was established. 1952, he donated millions of yuan to his hometown for the expansion of Meishan Xue Cun. In addition to restoring the elementary school he founded in 1939, he also expanded Guoguang Kindergarten, Guoguang Middle School, Guoguang Hospital and Guoguang Theater. Meishan Xue Cun has therefore become a well-known learning village at home and abroad, with kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools, with a construction area of more than 50,000 square meters and complete welfare facilities. What makes him feel gratified is that ethnic middle schools and ethnic primary schools have successively become key schools in Fujian Province, and ethnic hospitals have also become famous cancer hospitals in Jinjiang, Fujian.

He has repeatedly stressed that the purpose of running Nanyang University is to inherit and develop Chinese excellent culture and provide more opportunities for Malaysian youth to enjoy higher education. In the process of running a school, there were many difficulties and rumors, but Li Guangqian ignored them and continued to give strong support.

Similarly, today, when we walk into the famous "No.1 School in the Hometown of Overseas Chinese"-Guoguang Middle School in Nan 'an, Fujian, we will also see the bronze statue of Mr. Li Guangqian. Although he has passed away, his educational philosophy and entrepreneurial spirit are still being cultivated by him.

Mr. and Mrs. Li Guangqian have six children. Three sons, Li Chengyi, Li Chengzhi and Li Chengwei, have made great achievements in running enterprises after graduation. They inherited the fine traditions of their grandfather Chen Jiageng and father Li Guangqian, and spared no effort to donate money for education and continue to support Xiamen University. 1967 after Li Guangqian's death, the three brothers presided over the Lee Foundation in Singapore, still adhering to the purpose of "taking it from society and using it for society" and donating money to support various scientific, technological, cultural and educational activities, including supporting Xiamen University.

Anyone who has been to Xiamen University will always linger in front of Jiannan Building Complex, the landmark building complex of Xiamen University. This group of buildings also embodies the hard work of two generations of Li family. In the 1990s, colleagues of the Lee Foundation in Singapore learned that Jiannan Building Group was in disrepair for a long time, so 1994 began to donate more than RMB 60,000/kloc-0 to completely renovate the stone road in front of five buildings and buildings, which made Jiannan Building Group look brand-new.
