ITTF is pleased to announce that Jordanian President Mina Rashid will join the ITTF Foundation as a board member. The former table tennis player participated in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. After that, she continued to take an active part in sports and is currently a member of the board of directors of the Jordan Olympic Committee. Princess Hina Rashid, 32, is also in charge of the "20 for Tokyo 2020" project, which is an ambitious plan formulated by the Jordanian Olympic Committee, with the goal of qualifying 20 athletes from Middle Eastern countries for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
This decision was initiated and discussed by the chief vice president of ITTF, Kaili Al Mohannad, and was unanimously agreed by the ITTF Executive Committee. Finally, Princess Hina Rashid was successfully invited to join the ITTF Foundation and become a member of the board of directors.
