Strictly speaking, the Fund Practitioner Qualification Certificate will expire four years after passing the exam. After passing the Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination, candidates can apply to the Asset Management Association of China for fund practitioner qualification registration through their institution within four years. If you have not applied for fund practitioner qualification registration through an institution for more than four years, you need to make up the required follow-up training hours in the last two years or retake the practitioner qualification examination before registration.

The "Securities Investment Fund Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates that fund practitioners should have fund practitioner qualifications. Since 2003, the fund practitioner qualification examination has been part of the securities practitioner qualification examination system. The examination has always been organized by the Securities Association of China. By the end of January 2015, the Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination was officially transferred from the Securities Association to the China Securities Investment Fund Association.
