1. When will the open-end fund pay dividends?
Dividends of open-end funds are not necessarily paid once a year. Open-end fund dividends can be distributed when the following conditions are met:
After selling profitable stocks, the fund investment obtains the expected annualized expected return;
The expected annualized expected income of the fund in the current year can only be distributed after making up the losses in previous years;
The net value of each fund share after the expected annualized expected income distribution of the fund cannot be lower than the face value;
If there is a net loss in the investment year of the fund, the expected annualized expected income distribution will not be carried out.
Tips: When the above conditions are met, the open-end fund manager can also choose not to pay dividends according to the investment situation. The non-dividend clause can be determined according to the fund contract.
2. When will the closed-end fund pay dividends?
According to Article 35 of the Measures for the Administration of the Operation of Securities Investment Funds, the expected annualized expected return of closed-end funds shall not be distributed at least once a year, and the distribution ratio of the expected annualized expected return of closed-end funds shall not be less than 90% of the expected annualized expected return realized by the fund in a year.
In other words, the dividend of closed-end funds is mandatory, and the specific dividend time is subject to the fund contract.
