Cathay pacific fund's first overseas index fund, cathay pacific fund, signed an exclusive license agreement with NASDAQ OMX Group as early as February 25th, 2009 to use NASDAQ 100 index to develop various fund products in China. On February 30th, 2009, it was granted a $700 million investment quota in qualified domestic institutional investor approved by SAFE. Guotai Nasdaq 100 Index Fund was approved by China Securities Regulatory Commission in early March of 20 10, and will be issued through major banks and brokerage channels.
