Fund purchase guide 20 transaction costs and benefits of open-end funds?

The rate of open-end funds (closed-end funds) shall be determined by the fund manager and announced in the prospectus. Fund management fee refers to the fee charged by fund managers for managing fund assets. Different funds have different fees, which investors should pay attention to.

According to the contents of some fund prospectuses, when fund managers achieve good performance, they also have a certain proportion of management fees to extract performance rewards. Some of these expenses are accrued by the fund and some are not. For investors of open-end funds, their income can only be reflected in two aspects. One is the fund dividend, and the other is the net growth, that is, the net growth after deducting the purchase and redemption expenses. Compared with closed-end funds, the transaction cost of open-end funds is quite high. According to the funds that have been issued and established at present, the total cost of one-time subscription and redemption of general open-end funds is about 2% (the transaction commission of closed-end funds is about 0.25%, and the return fee is about 0.5%), which is almost equivalent to the interest income of one-year bank time deposits. High expenses "erode" dividends. Therefore, when investing in open-end funds, we should be psychologically prepared for long-term investment. This high cost cannot be ignored. Of course, the cost also depends on the return. Open-end funds will make fund managers more transparent and binding, so fund managers will also provide more services for investors. Especially from the perspective of new services, under the condition of open-end funds in the future, fund managers and consignment banks will increase a lot of expenses. The fund manager is doing well and his income is still very rich.
