Is there any income from the weekend fund closure?
Only money funds and bond funds can make money on weekends. Others, such as stock funds, have no income because they are closed. The weekend income of money funds and bond funds mainly comes from interest. Whether it is a money fund or a bond fund, their interest is calculated according to 365 days, so even if there is no transaction on weekends and holidays, interest will continue to generate. And more importantly, the holiday yield is based on the trading day before the holiday.
The fund itself does not generate much interest on weekends, and all the income comes from the products it invests in. For example, stocks, futures or other wealth management products can't generate any income if they don't open on trading days. Correspondingly, most money funds and bond funds invest in short-term wealth management and cash varieties, so they can earn interest on corresponding products while fluctuating.
Of course, the more interest the fund earns when it is closed on weekends, then this means that the greater the proportion of fund-related products, which also means that the risk of products is the smallest.
