The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was established in June 2000. Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates are the founders of the Foundation. The foundation is non-profit and aims to promote global health and education equality. On September 24th, 20 15, the National Internet Information Office of China announced that the China Internet Development Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in Seattle, USA on the 22nd, and both parties agreed to form a partnership on the basis of equality, mutual benefit and complementary advantages.
