Requirements for application of Hubei Natural Science Fund

1. The project applicant should have a senior technical title, be a high-level academic leader, and have a research team with reasonable structure and strong technical force; There is a necessary platform for research and experiment, and there must be enough time and energy to engage in the research work funded by this fund. The project applicant has the experience of undertaking basic research projects or engaging in basic research, and has obtained creative scientific research achievements recognized by peers at home and abroad in the field of basic research of natural science. It has innovative academic ideas, clear and advanced research objectives, scientific and feasible research ideas and application prospects.

2. Key projects give priority to supporting related projects applied by the main academic backbone of Hubei Key Laboratory, giving priority to basic research to solve industrial needs, and giving priority to basic research that can drive the development of disciplines and form intellectual property achievements.

3. Description of application for innovative group projects

The innovative group should be a team naturally formed on the basis of long-term scientific research cooperation, relying on the key disciplines of the unit, and obtained the financial support of the unit. Generally, there should be 3-5 stable core scientific and technological personnel, with an average age of no more than 45. There are at least two winners of talent plan at or above the provincial level in the innovation group (including winners of provincial Jieqing), who have undertaken more than two provincial and ministerial scientific research projects in the same research direction in the past five years and won the third prize of provincial and ministerial science and technology. The winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, as the lead applicant, does not occupy the reporting index of the provincial fund of the unit when reporting the innovation group.

The innovative group rolling project is used to support outstanding provincial innovative group projects that have been accepted, and to support in-depth research based on the original research direction. The project applicant must be the person in charge of the innovation group project in previous years who passed the final acceptance. Innovative group rolling project application does not occupy the reporting index of the provincial fund of this unit.
