World Bipolar Disorder Day on March 30th is the birthday of Vincent Van Gogh, a famous Dutch post-impressionist painter, who died of bipolar disorder.
To commemorate Van Gogh, the Asian Bipolar Disorder Network, the International Bipolar Disorder Foundation and the International Bipolar Disorder Society jointly launched an initiative to designate March 30th of each year as WorldBipolarDay. It aims to let more people know about bipolar disorder (bipolar disorder/bipolar disorder) and raise the awareness of prevention and treatment of the general public.
Bipolar disorder, also known as bipolar disorder, is a mood disorder characterized by manic/hypomanic episodes and depressive episodes. Patients with depressive episodes may have various manifestations of depression, such as depression, decreased interest, reticence, lack of energy, pessimism and world-weariness. When hypomania or mania occurs, the patient's mood and behavior will reach the other extreme. When the symptoms are mild, that is, hypomania, the patient feels energetic, thinks faster and is full of strength. During the manic episode, patients' activities increase abnormally, and they are constantly busy, making it difficult to fall asleep. Exaggerated when speaking, gushing, and incoherent when serious. Do things impulsively, regardless of the consequences, such as wasting money, or even putting yourself in danger, which may lead to serious symptoms such as delusion and hallucination.
