Who is Kevin g Lynch?
Mr. Kevin G. Lynch received a bachelor's degree from Ellison University in Mount, a master's degree in economics from Manchester University and a doctorate in economics from McMaster University. Mr Lynch also holds seven honorary degrees. Mr Lynch is a life member of the Privy Council of Canada and was awarded the Medal of Canada. Mr Lynch is currently the vice chairman of the Bank of Montreal Financial Group. He is an excellent civil servant and has worked for the Canadian government for 33 years. Mr. Lynch served as Deputy Minister of Industry of Canada from 1995 to 2000, Deputy Minister of Finance of Canada from 2000 to 2004, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund from 2004 to 2006, and Secretary of the Privy Council, Cabinet Secretary and Minister of Public Service of Canada from 2006 to 2009. Mr Lynch is honorary president of King's College, chairman of the board of directors of the University of Waterloo, chairman of the Canadian Ducray Foundation and chairman of the Global Policy Committee of the Global Financial System of the World Economic Forum. He also serves on other boards, including Gairdner Foundation, Killam Trust, Institute of Theoretical Physics of Circumference, Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, Shannon Business School and Canadian Asia-Pacific Foundation. Mr Lynch is also a director of Sobey, a company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He is also a director of the Bank of Montreal (China) Limited and vice chairman of the Ontario Employment and Economic Prosperity Committee. Mr. Lynch was appointed as an independent non-executive director of China Offshore Oil Co., Ltd. on 27/20 13 1 month, and the appointment will take effect on March 20 14.
