NetEngine 5000E cluster router (hereinafter referred to as ne 5000E) is a super-core router product launched by Huawei for network backbone nodes. NE5000E adopts self-developed Solar series chips, advanced optical backplane design and distributed extensible software platform, which can provide massive switching capability and ultra-high forwarding performance, and fully meet the requirements of the new generation Internet for bandwidth performance, quality of service and business capability.

The hardware of NE5000E consists of two parts, namely, the Cluster Central Cabinet (CCC) and the Forward Line Card Cabinet (CLC). CLC is applied to high-speed access of users and services, and can work in single-frame mode and multi-frame trunking mode. CCC is applied to the cluster system, which is mainly used to connect the control plane and data plane of each line card framework, so as to connect multiple CLCs logically and realize the unified management and control of the system.

NE5000E supports single port 100GE, 10* 10GE, 2*40G POS and other interfaces.
