Generally, schools collect application forms, apply to the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government for student activity subsidy, and subsidize students with financial needs to participate in whole-person learning activities organized or recognized by schools. The beneficiaries are primary and secondary school students who receive full subsidies from the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or the book subsidy scheme. The allowance for each primary school student and secondary school student is HK$ 350 and HK$ 650 respectively.
