China Postdoctoral Science Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. It has the status of an independent legal person and is under the leadership of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee. China postdoctoral science fund is used to encourage and support young talents and outstanding talents with scientific research potential among postdoctoral researchers to carry out scientific research smoothly and grow into high-level talents rapidly.
The foundation implements the secretary-general responsibility system under the leadership of the Council. The Secretary-General is appointed by the National Postdoctoral Management Committee. The current secretary-general is Zhuang Zijian, and the deputy secretaries-general are Li and Yan Zhijun. The Foundation consists of two departments-Evaluation and Service Department and Foundation Department. The establishment of China postdoctoral science fund has played an active role in supporting postdoctoral scientific research, going abroad to attend academic conferences or short-term cooperation.
The Foundation is mainly responsible for the evaluation, fund raising and operation of postdoctoral science funds, the entry and exit procedures and daily management of postdoctoral researchers, the selection of "China Excellent Postdoctoral Award", the training of postdoctoral evaluation managers, the construction and management of postdoctoral apartments, and the coordination and guidance of the work of the National Postdoctoral Association.
Exchange and cooperation with various foundations at home and abroad, promotion, technical consultation and development of postdoctoral scientific research achievements, guidance of activities of postdoctoral associations, editing and publishing of postdoctoral magazines in China.
