Generally speaking, it is enough to register for two subjects.
1. The Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination has three subjects, namely Subject 1: Fund Laws and Regulations, Professional Ethics and Business Standards; Subject 2: Basic Knowledge of Securities Investment Funds; Subject 3: Private Equity Investment Funds Basics.
2. According to the requirements of the Asset Management Association of China, those who have passed fund practice subjects one and two, or subjects one and three, can apply to the Securities Investment Fund Industry Association of China for fund practitioner qualification registration from their institution. Therefore, if it is just for the examination, generally speaking, you can sign up for two subjects.
3. Subject 1 has more theoretical knowledge. Memorize and recite based on understanding, and it is not difficult to pass the exam. Subject 2 is different. Subject 2 is more science-oriented and focuses on practical operations. It has relatively many calculation questions, involving fund fees, fund investments, bonds and stocks, etc. The third subject is more liberal arts and contains many legal provisions and professional terms, as well as some calculation questions. According to the trend of questions in previous years, there are about five to ten calculation questions.
So if candidates are liberal arts students, they may wish to choose subject one and subject three to apply. If science is their strong point, they can choose subject one and subject two.
