Wang Zaihua, president of Huawei's consumer BG software department, said at the developer conference that Huawei is discussing with its main partners the China Open Source Foundation, which will be officially put into operation in a month or two at the earliest, and will be completely open, non-profit and open. Huawei also explained that there are many open source structures in HarmonyOS system. Considering the operation of the foundation, Huawei has no control and dominance over them.

It is not surprising that Huawei has established an open source community. There are many excellent open source communities in the world, such as Apache Software Foundation (ASF), GitHub acquired by Microsoft, and Google Open Source.

One of the reasons why open source is so prosperous, or so many people are keen on it, is Linus's law, which means that bugs will be exposed as long as enough people read the code.
