It’s been an incredible week, where do we start?
Tuesday is a big day. . Very big big day. Even some news was not announced until Wednesday. Many of you tuned in to see all the details presented, but there is much more that needs to be said. Let’s do a quick review for newcomers. Yes, you're about to see a bunch of links, but there's no way we can cover them all without turning this article into an update document:

The Hidden Season is now online, and the story of two queens has begun.
Cross-platform games have been launched, allowing players to play together regardless of platform.
We also announced our 30th anniversary celebrations, including the return of the Horn of Galar, a new six-player event, and more!
For our PvP players, we have some Quality of life improvements, some interesting news about security, and information about Trials!
We announced our partnership with BattlEye anti-cheat and released new security improvements in Destiny 2.
While we collect data and strengthen detection, we would also like to thank all players who continue to report possible cheats through the contact form.
We have also announced updates to our security policies that address win trading and account powering in competitive environments.
We’ve announced upcoming improvements to Trials of Osiris, including rewards, matchmaking, and labs.
The trial will be temporarily suspended until September 11th. If you haven’t read it yet, you can read it below.
There is a lot to read, and a lot to discuss in the coming months.
Let’s start with the expectations first, shall we? During the Destiny 2 showcase, we talked about the upcoming light class rework in Destiny 2. Even though we showed you a short gameplay video, we felt it was important to explain this rework in detail.
First, let’s take a look at an update on the Bungie Foundation initiative.
BUNGIE Foundation Update: TEAM RUBICON and DIRECT RELIEF
Last week, we announced several charity initiatives aimed at helping people in need around the world. This community has proven time and time again that games can do good and that we are the guardians of the world.
Bungie Foundation: Today, Team Rubicon and Direct Relief have teams around the world actively providing life-saving medical treatment, vital medical and PPE supplies, food, water, and supplies to hundreds of thousands of people in need. and shelter. These people may have been affected by recent natural disasters—including earthquakes in Haiti, wildfires on the West Coast and Mediterranean, and flooding in Tennessee and Germany. Nor have they given up on their mission to get COVID vaccines to more vulnerable populations.
