Duan Defeng, founder and president of Risende, said: "The greatest significance of the transparency ranking of foundations lies in guiding the foundations to disclose information more truly, timely and effectively, and helping the public to participate more deeply in the whole process of promoting the transparency construction of foundations. As a third-party research or ranking institution, it is unable to verify the authenticity of all the information disclosed by the foundation. Fortunately, all the data used to evaluate the transparency of the foundation are obtained from open channels, which makes public participation possible, because the public, especially donors and beneficiaries, will always be the most important promoters of the transparency of the foundation. Therefore, the launch of this list should be interpreted as a starting point, not an end point, to promote the transparency and openness of the China Foundation.
