Zhejiang University is an institution of higher learning with a long history and outstanding reputation, located in Hangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city and a scenic tourist attraction in China. Qiushi College, the predecessor of Zhejiang University, was founded in 1897. It is one of the earliest new institutions of higher learning founded by the people of China. By the end of 2022, the school had 6,582 full-time students, 5 international students and 9,746 faculty members. Among the teachers, there are 24 full-time academicians of China Academy of Sciences, 2 1 person full-time academicians of China Academy of Engineering, 41person senior professor of liberal arts, and 4/person "Changjiang Scholar Award Program" of the Ministry of Education. In 2022, Zhejiang University was selected as the second round of "double-first-class" construction universities, and 2 1 discipline was selected as the first-class discipline construction list.
