China Foundation for the Development of Ageing, formerly known as China Foundation for Ageing, was established in May 1986. The second Council was elected in June 2003. The current Council was elected in June 5438+1October 65438+May 2009, and the chairman was re-elected by Li Baoku, former vice minister of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and chairman of the second Council. 2014 July 16 Li Baoku was re-elected as the chairman of the fourth Council.

Over the past few years, our association has successively carried out education and publicity activities with the theme of respecting, loving and helping the elderly and the content of respecting the elderly, and actively promoted and implemented the national pilot project of "caring for the elderly". A number of publicly-funded special funds for the elderly have been established, including caring pension fund, An Deyu pension fund, Cihang fund, China elderly health fund, special fund for the development of science and technology for the elderly, China elderly industry development fund, China elderly medical care fund, China poverty-stricken elderly relief fund and special fund for respecting the elderly.
