The social security card itself has no money, but only carries all kinds of information about you. You can not only see a doctor or buy medicine at a designated pharmacy, but also directly withdraw the balance.

To participate in medical insurance in Beijing, employers and workers need to bear the medical insurance expenses respectively. For example, in Beijing, enterprises bear 8% of the payment base, and individual employees need to bear 2% of the payment base (basic medical care) +3 yuan (serious illness). After enrollment, the social security fund will refund the medical expenses to the employees every month according to the medical age of the insured.
