How to set the enhanced WiFi signal as a repeater for the router? Ask for detailed steps! !
In the home wireless network, the transmission distance of Wi-Fi is an important factor affecting the wireless rate. Here is how to remove the WiFi barrier and enhance the WiFi signal. Solve the problem of weak WiFi signal.

An important reason that affects the transmission distance is that there are too many indoor obstacles. Therefore, in the process of placing wireless routers, we should not only place the routers in the center of wireless activities to provide the best wireless coverage for wireless applications, but also try to avoid those objects that hinder wireless signals the most, such as cement floors and load-bearing walls, to reduce signal attenuation.

In addition, there are too many wireless signal sources around, which is also an important factor causing Wi-Fi signal attenuation, especially when it occurs in adjacent channels, the interference of wireless signals will be very serious. At this time, we can solve it by changing the wireless channel.

First, check the channel occupancy of the surrounding networks. After downloading and installing, run inSSIDer and switch to the "Network" tab of the main interface. In the list, we can see all the Wi-Fi networks we are currently using and around, and the "Channel" column shows the channels currently occupied by these networks (Figure 1). Check whether these channels are the same as or adjacent to their own Wi-Fi network (the signal of one channel will interfere with two adjacent channels at the same time, that is, the signal of channel 6 will affect channels 5 and 7). If so, you can enter the router settings interface and switch to other channels.

Take TL-WR740N router as an example. Enter http:/192.168.1.1in the address bar of the browser and press enter. Enter the user name and password (both Admin by default) in the interface that appears, and then click the "Confirm" button (Figure 2). Enter the router settings interface. Select the item "Wireless Settings → Basic Settings" on the left, then click the drop-down arrow in the item "Channel" on the right to set the channel to other, click the "Save" button, and finally select the item "System Tools → Restart Router" on the left to restart the router, and the setting will take effect.
