School Introduction The school was formerly known as Jiangxi Daewoo Industrial and Commercial College founded in 1993; it was renamed Jiangxi Daewoo Vocational and Technical College in April 2003; it was renamed Nanchang Vocational College in April 2011; it was renamed Nanchang Vocational University in May 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

Nanchang Vocational University, located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is a private vocational undergraduate university under the supervision of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. It is one of the first batch of undergraduate-level vocational education pilot institutions in the country and a pilot school for the reform of industry-education integrated vocational undergraduate courses.

Cooperation and exchanges As of September 2020, the school has signed a cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Anyi County and the Industrial Park to build an aluminum alloy doors and windows college for government, school, and enterprise (the school has a secondary college).
