Keep in touch with Humboldt Foundation
Humboldt Foundation gives some financial support to Humboldt researchers, and then keeps in touch with them according to their professional wishes. 85% of the former Humboldt scholars were once again funded and invited to Germany for short-term research. They donated scientific books (with a total value of 600 Domagk) and scientific instruments (with a total value of 4,700 marks) to countries with foreign exchange shortages, provided subsidies for attending academic conferences and printing (with a total value of nearly 5 million marks), and held academic conferences in Germany and other countries. In recent years, the funding for foreign cooperative research with German research institutions and supporting post-doctoral cooperative research with Germany (fyodor Luneng Project) is also increasing. The cost of keeping in touch with former Humboldt scholars accounts for 15% of the annual expenditure of Humboldt Foundation.
