East China University of Science and Technology is a 211 university and a double-class university.

East China University of Science and Technology, called Huali for short, is located in Shanghai. East China University of Science and Technology was originally named East China Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1952, it was established by the chemical engineering departments of Jiaotong University, Aurora University, Datong University, Soochow University and Jiangnan University. In 1993, it was renamed.

As of January 221, the school has three campuses, namely Xuhui, Fengxian and Jinshan, covering an area of 2,535 mu, with a building area of 97, square meters and a library collection of 3.26 million books. There are 18 colleges and 73 undergraduate majors; There are 13 doctoral programs in first-class disciplines, 8 doctoral programs in two disciplines, 3 master programs in first-class disciplines, 142 master programs in two disciplines and 16 master programs in professional degrees.
