Two days before my 23rd birthday, I had my first autumn recruitment interview. Of course, I am very grateful to Jingdong’s dad for giving me this opportunity. Not only did I pass the written test written by blind jier (the written test is indeed more difficult), but also in the first interview,
The second and third interview gave me the best interview experience so far.
In return, and as an act of building up my character in anticipation of the offer, I decided to recall and record the one-week interview in detail.
First of all, I will introduce myself. I am a girl with a master's degree in finance from the Central Government. Her bachelor's and master's degrees are all in economics and management. Her internship experience is in two real estate companies (top), an Internet company, and a securities company.
Because my undergraduate degree was a graduate degree, I interned at two companies during my senior year, so it seemed that my internship experience was a bit complicated and unfocused. I had just started my internship at a securities firm when I interviewed JD.com, so I didn’t write it down.
Jingdong campus recruitment process: online application - written examination - one interview (professional interview) - two interview (director interview) - three interview (HR interview).
Not having a group presence is what makes me most happy and approving. That kind of random output of thoughts in a short period of time like a verbal spat is really a headache.
Let’s start with the written test.
Jingdong's written test is designed to be more professional, that is, the job posting position.
Because I am applying for a business analysis position, the written test questions include two parts. The first is digital graphics and logic, which are more common in practical tests.
The second part is the knowledge of probability theory and statistics, including knowledge of probability distribution calculation.
Yes, that’s right, I basically wrote the second piece blindly.
Fortunately, the business analysis position I applied for was under JD Digits-Finance, which was related to my professional background, so my resume did not fall to the bottom. Later, I confirmed to the interviewer that the written test was not the only criterion, and the resume's level of compliance was also
Very important.
Then there is one side.
1. Preparation for one side.
It is also divided into two pieces.
Resume preparation, knowledge preparation.
Resume preparation: review of professional background, review of internship experience, review of project experience.
The sorting mentioned here is to not only study and familiarize your resume, but also to find a line.
For example, if my undergraduate degree is in real estate investment and my graduate degree is in asset appraisal, I can choose some major courses to tell the interviewer which aspect I am more professional in. Maybe I am project investment and appraisal.
Then there is the sorting out of internship experience. In fact, the internship industry can be different, and the position can be different, but you must find the connection between them. It will be strange to have a hammer in the east and a stick in the west.
For example, for me, the industries are different, but the positions are mainly investment and market research.
Therefore, it is also relevant for me to apply for a business analysis position.
During your internship experience, you must prepare one or two projects or research, and mention it a little when introducing yourself to give the interviewer an impression, which can be expanded upon later.
Sorting out project experience is mainly to find the shining points of some projects. This varies from person to person.
Knowledge preparation: ① JD.com's financial report for the first three quarters of 2019, ② conference call - executives will record the focus and direction of JD.com's future development, as well as the development of JD.com's various businesses.
This is what my little sister told me after her internship at Tencent Strategy. It was so useful that I invited her to dinner zzz.
③Related events, such as JD.com’s shopping spree, and Pinduoduo’s competition for traffic customers in third- and fourth-tier cities, etc.
?I think what things I have done are interesting. Let me tell you this. Nowadays, there are too many highly educated people with excellent internships and excellent projects. Everyone is equally bored, so you must think about which internship experiences are logical and clear.
interesting.
One round of interview: Beijing Taifu Hotel.
Scan the QR code to sign in and wait for the interviewer’s text message.
The interviewer was quite kind, and the interview lasted about 40 minutes, and we had a good conversation.
Some students only met for 10 minutes but failed, so I think it is very important to be able to chat, which shows that the interviewer is interested.
Interview question: The interviewer is more casual, unlike the usual interview routine where he first introduces himself and then talks about the most successful thing, the worst failure, and the biggest setback.
To be honest, in my life, I really don’t feel that I have faced too many setbacks. Maybe I am forgetful and forget about the bad things in life, but really, there are too many people who have miserable experiences.
Having experienced life and experiences like ours, our parents did not worry about our studies when we were young, and we can successfully study as graduate students in top universities in China. At the same time, we have the opportunity to pursue our future careers, have the right to choose, and have the support of family and friends.
I'm really lucky.
The so-called setbacks are nothing more than failing in the high school entrance examination, failing in the college entrance examination, failing in the postgraduate entrance examination, older relatives leaving, parents getting divorced, etc.
But some things must be experienced, and looking back, it just passed.
(Sorry for going off topic...) The interviewer first asked me what my graduation project was. This was something I didn't expect. In fact, I had just started the topic. The topic of my graduation project was REITS value evaluation, which is currently the subject of more discussions.
Real Estate Trust Fund, briefly talked about the original intention of selecting the topic and the current REITS market situation.
Then he asked me when I took the CFA Level 1 exam and when I was going to take the CFA Level 2 exam.
Internship Experience asked what is the difference between the two positions in real estate internship and what is the focus.
Internet internships ask more detailed questions, such as what is the logic of user growth, what are the reasons for good and bad operating results, and where are the problems.
