Buying a fund will have transaction costs anyway. The cost price is the average price per share after calculating the transaction cost, and the fund price is the price without calculating the transaction cost. In other words, the cost price will be higher than the fund price anyway. The more copies you buy, the closer the cost price will be to the fund price, but it cannot be equal to the fund price!
