Personally, I don't particularly like overtime, but sometimes I really can't help it. Either there are too many things to finish, or the emergency is not allowed.
What impressed me most was about 6-7 years ago, when I was a big account manager. I had more than 100 clients, and then two colleagues took leave for various reasons and couldn't come to work, and suddenly there were more than 200 clients. For a month, I worked until 8 o'clock every day before I got off work. Because customers are not familiar with what they use, the expenses should be completed as soon as possible, and there is still a pile of basic work materials to be sorted out. These things can't be finished without overtime, let alone other work. Although the leader has no requirements, as a person in charge, his own requirements are like this, and he must try his best to do it well. Overtime is overtime caused by something I didn't finish. Big data shows that people who work overtime are obviously worse than those who don't.
Sometimes people leave because their colleagues are at work. Sometimes it is because the boss asks employees to work overtime in disguise for different reasons; Sometimes I work overtime because of inspiration; Sometimes they work overtime for their own future, and of course some people work overtime to earn more money. The reasons for working overtime are different, and the ideas are different.
If you are still practicing, then observe quietly and pay more attention at ordinary times. Commuting time is only the minimum job requirement, but what you can learn and what height you can reach in the future does not depend on this commuting time.
