During the centralized acceptance period of project applications of the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 20021year, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) * * accepted a total of 2,767 project applications15, and * * accepted 274,982 projects after preliminary examination and review.

According to the Regulations of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Measures for the Administration of Related Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and experts' opinions, the National Natural Science Foundation of China 14 Committee meeting decided to support 19420 general projects, 740 key projects, 75 key international (regional) cooperative research projects and 2 1077 youth projects.

There are 25 outstanding youth science foundation projects (Hong Kong and Macao), 3 national outstanding youth science foundation projects (KLOC-0/4), 42 innovative research groups projects, 3,337 regional science foundation projects and 36 NSAF joint fund projects, totaling 4,5681. Other types of items received during centralized receipt are under approval.

System construction of the National Natural Science Foundation of China;

The National Natural Science Foundation of China (hereinafter referred to as NSFC) issued the "Eleventh Five-Year" development plan of NSFC in 2006 in order to implement the deployment of the national medium-and long-term scientific and technological development plan and accurately grasp the strategic orientation of "supporting basic research, insisting on free exploration and playing a guiding role".

Carry out the working policy of "respecting science, promoting democracy, advocating competition, promoting cooperation, encouraging innovation and leading the future", and implement the strategy of "source innovation, scientific and technological talents, innovative environment and excellent management" to promote the balanced, coordinated and sustainable development of all disciplines of basic science in China.

According to the overall deployment of the country and the characteristics of the work funded by the National Science Fund, the priority development areas of 13 and the distribution of several departments were selected.
