Over the past year, with the joint efforts of the teachers and students of the whole school, we have created one gratifying achievement after another in 88 years, winning the praise of the higher authorities and the unanimous recognition of the broad masses of people in Songbei District. Director Cai Zhanshan of Harbin Education Bureau, Deputy Director Wang of Songbei District, Director Sun Yi of Songbei District Education Bureau, Deputy Director Wang, Deputy Director Wang Lianyin and Chief Wang of Higher Vocational College visited our school for many times, and spoke highly of our school's achievements in the short term. During the discussion of teaching in small classes, the teaching and research staff from senior middle schools of Harbin Institute of Education, led by Director Yao Shuyuan, came to our school for guidance. In the process of listening and communicating, they highly praised the personal qualities and teaching styles of all teachers. In May 2008, teachers Mao Dongfeng, Zhang and Wu participated in the "Inter-school Exchange in Songbei District", and their classes were well received by teachers.

In the past year, the teachers and students of No.88 Middle School have made great achievements through unremitting efforts. Teacher Mao Dongfeng was rated as an excellent class teacher in Heilongjiang Province. Teacher Yu Zhongwei was rated as an outstanding talent in Harbin County; Teacher Zhang Yushu was awarded the advanced individual of professional ethics in the city; Wei Bin won the honorary title of Excellent party member, and Liu Ying and Zhang Yushu won the honorary title of Excellent Party Organization Workers; Zhangyan, Xing Zhenyu, Wu, Yu Zhongwei, Jiang, Li Na and other teachers have won many awards in teaching activities held in provinces and cities. Yang Haoqiang and Yang Junzhe won the first and second prizes at the provincial level respectively. Liu Xin, president of the Student Union, was rated as a model of civilized youth at the municipal level, and became a member of the report group of outstanding student cadres in Harbin with his outstanding deeds; Zhang won the honorary title of Top Ten Middle School Students in Songbei District; Yang Haoqiang's art work "Harmonious Songbei District, Bright Future" won the first prize in the Songbei District Art Competition for the third anniversary of its establishment; Hu's work "Songbei District in Soaring" and his photographic work "The Heart of Songbei District" won the second and third prizes respectively. On behalf of Songbei District, the school participated in Harbin eye exercises competition and won the first place. In June 2008, Xiao Xue twice represented Songbei District in Harbin Sports Meeting and the international sports meeting organized by China Youth Development Foundation, which won the honor for Songbei District. The school's dance troupe and choir have participated in competitions organized by the city many times and achieved excellent results. The school was rated as an advanced collective in Songbei District in the past year.
