When calculating fund returns, in addition to looking at changes in net unit value, we also need to look at historical dividends.
You can only buy 1.6 between 2007/2008, and there will be many dividends later.
If your dividend method is cash dividend, then historically you have received a total cash dividend of 0.672/share.
So you did not lose money, but made a profit of (1.00 + 0.672 - 1.6) = 0.072/share.
If your dividend method is to reinvest dividends, your share will increase a little after each dividend, so at this time we can't just compare the net value of the units, but also know the total *** growth of our share How much.
Take 2015-01-14 as an example.
Each dividend is 0.03 yuan. The ex-dividend date is 2015-01-16. The net value of the unit on the ex-dividend date is 0.7473, so the ex-dividend date is 0.7473. Previously it was 0.7473 + 0.03 = 0.7773. Your share increased by 0.03 / (0.7473 + 0.03) = 3.8595%.
Similar to the dividend on 2014-01-13, it increased by 0.04 / (0.6667 + 0.04) = 5.660%
By analogy, the multiple after your share increases is: (1 + 3.8595%) * (1 + 5.660%) * ...,
If you add the earliest share x, this multiple is your current share Number of shares.
Your earliest share is:
The amount you invested / (1 + subscription fee %) / the net value of the transaction unit.
The subscription fee rate can be checked at the fund company, and it generally does not change much.
The above formula does not take into account the tax that needs to be paid on dividends. I don’t know what the tax rate was that year. It seems that bank interest tax has been suspended since 2008. It is estimated that no tax will be charged on dividends from this fund.
Just use a calculator to calculate the historical dividend data since 2009.
Einstein said: Compound interest is the most powerful weapon in the universe.
Reinvesting dividends is using compound interest (interest compounding).
