The Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation was jointly established by the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Development Special Fund was established by the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department.
