The Fund Practitioner Qualification Examination I*** has three examination subjects.
They are subject one: "Fund Laws and Regulations, Professional Ethics and Business Standards", subject two: "Basic Knowledge of Securities Investment Funds" and subject three: "Basic Knowledge of Equity Investment Funds".
Subject 1 must be selected, and subjects 2 and 3 can be selected from one subject, that is, subject 1 + subject 2, or subject 1 + subject 3.
From the perspective of the exam crowd: one is for securities business and the other is for equity business. So if you are in the private equity industry, of course you should take subject three, and if you are a general fund practitioner, it is recommended to take subject two.
Looking at the chapter content: Chapter 2 of Subject 2 has 14 chapters, and Chapter 3 of Subject 3 has 10 chapters. The knowledge structure of subject two is more extensive and content; subject three focuses on the peripheral information of equity investment funds, which is more specialized and detailed.
From the perspective of exam difficulty: Judging from the passing rates of recent exams, the difficulty of the two subjects is actually about the same.
In contrast, Subject 2 (Basics) is more theoretical, has more calculations, and focuses on practical operations and calculation and analysis capabilities. The content of the examination is close to the public offering practitioners. It mainly focuses on the theoretical knowledge of securities investment funds. There are many calculation and analysis questions in the fund basic knowledge examination, involving fund fees, fund investment, bonds, stocks, investment theory, and charts.
