Dreams come true is a project initiated by China Youth Development Foundation.
In order to let as many poor students go to college as possible, help poor areas to cultivate more or more college students, respond to the call of the Party and the government, and mobilize social forces to provide financial aid to these poor freshmen to help them realize their dreams of going to college, the China Youth Development Foundation, in conjunction with the National Provincial Youth Foundation, cooperated with CCTV News Center and other institutions and media, and launched the "* * * Concern and Hope Project" in 2006. At the same time, it has been highly valued and strongly supported by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
Activity background
In 2006, the "Dream of Dreams" campaign, which lasted for more than three months, raised RMB/kloc-0.50 billion to help 38,892 poor rural students attend Dream of Dreams University. It was rated as the most influential public welfare project in 2006 by government departments.

Funding standard
The dream come true activity in 2007 was funded by freshmen who were admitted to full-time colleges and universities in 2007. The funding criteria are as follows: the donation standard for each college student is 4,400 yuan, of which 4,000 yuan is the subsidy, and the students are subsidized for one-time allocation; 400 yuan's service, fund-raising and management expenses are paid to the Youth Foundation.
