In June, 21, the geological experts from Hubei Geological Exploration Institute of Sinochem General Bureau of Geology and Mines overcame many difficulties and drilled 19 holes into the ground. They found a super-large phosphate deposit buried underground in Yangliu Phosphate Mine in Yuan 'an County, with a preliminary proven reserve of 429 million tons and a potential economic value of more than 1 billion yuan, which is the largest phosphate deposit discovered in a single mining area in China since the founding of New China. Yesterday, the project "General Survey of Yangliu Mining Area in Yichang Phosphate Mine, Hubei Province" successfully passed the field work acceptance. The large-scale phosphate deposit of Yangliu in Yuan 'an is about 42 kilometers away from Yuan 'an County, located in the territory of Hehua Town, with an area of 32.27 square kilometers.
The Yangliu Phosphate Project in Yuan 'an is a major prospecting project arranged by the Geological Exploration Fund of the Provincial Department of Land and Resources. Since September 26, the exploration has been carried out by Hubei Geological Exploration Institute of Sinochem General Bureau of Geology and Mines. In the past four years, * * * has constructed 19 exploration holes, the deepest of which is 11m and the shallowest of which is 567m. It has been found that there are three layers of phosphate rocks in the Sinian Doushantuo Formation in the mining area. Among them, the average thickness of main industrial seams is 5.27 meters, and the average grade is 25.88%. The average thickness of sub-industrial seams is 4.16m, and the average grade is 22.63%. The average thickness of low-grade seam is 1.25m, and the average grade is 19.76%.
