What is the net value of the fund and when is it updated every day?
A fund generally has three net values, namely, unit net value, cumulative unit net value and reinstatement unit net value.

Unit net value: the net value of each fund is equal to the balance of the total assets of the fund MINUS the total liabilities and then divided by the total shares of the fund. The net unit value is the value of each fund and the transaction price of the fund.

Cumulative unit net value: Generally speaking, the cumulative net value is equal to the unit net value plus the accumulated dividends in the history of the fund.

Net value of reinstated units: the net value of units adjusted and calculated after considering dividend reinvestment.

According to the principle of "unknown price": the subscription and redemption of funds generally adopt the principle of "unknown price", that is, only the net value of the fund on the previous trading day is known when purchasing and redeeming, and the exact price of the transaction on that day is not known. The net unit value of the actual transaction will not be known until evening at the earliest.

Based on this principle, when buying and selling, you can't see the unit net value of the transaction, so many fund sales platforms will do their own valuation calculations.

The total number of fund shares of open-end funds is constantly changing during the trading period, because investors are always buying and redeeming. Therefore, the total number of fund shares and the net value of the fund can only be counted after the market closes on the same day. The announcement time of fund net value is generally around 22:00 on the same day. Some consignment agencies may not announce it until the next day.
