In 2017, Tongji University continued to implement state-sponsored postgraduate programs, including state-sponsored postgraduate programs for national high-level universities, state-sponsored master's degree programs, and special projects for cultivating artistic talents. 1. Selection projects, categories and number of people

1. Nationally-sponsored postgraduate projects for high-level universities:

1) Joint training Doctoral students, 6-24 months, quota to be determined

2) Doctoral students, 36-48 months, quota is not limited

2. Nationally sponsored master’s program: focus Support professional fields such as agricultural extension, public administration, economic management, social work, international finance, international law, industrial design, aviation safety, advanced manufacturing engineering and network engineering;

1) Study for a master's degree , 12-24 months, no limit on places

2) Joint training of master's students, 3-12 months, no limit on places, colleges with Sino-foreign cooperation projects (including double degrees) can apply;

*May involve the School of Economics and Management, Law School, School of Politics and International Relations, School of Electronics and Information Engineering, School of Design and Innovation, School of Aerospace and Mechanics, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Software, Sino-German School, etc., But it is not limited to the above colleges.

3. Special project for cultivating artistic talents: The selected targets are mainly outstanding students majoring in art; focusing on supporting the arts whose domestic development is weak and far behind the international level. majors, for emerging design majors or interdisciplinary disciplines such as interaction design, fashion design, experience design, information design, service design, etc.;

1) PhD students: 36 to 48 months;

2) Joint training for doctoral students: 6 to 24 months;

3) Joint training for master’s students: 12 to 24 months;

4) Joint training for master’s students : 3 to 12 months, mainly sent through cooperation channels between domestic universities and foreign schools/institutions.

*May involve the School of Art and Media and the School of Design and Creativity, but is not limited to the above schools

2. Selection Principles and Sending Majors

1. Selection The work should be combined with the actual needs and development plans of the school's graduate training, scientific research bases and platforms, major scientific research projects, and key discipline construction.

2. Adhere to the "three first-class" principles, select the best students, and send them to first-class institutions or internationally renowned research institutes and laboratories in developed countries and regions in education and science and technology (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) region) and learn from first-class professional instructors.

3. All disciplines and majors in our school are within the scope of selection.

4. Each college must actively recommend candidates for joint doctoral training, joint master's training, and doctoral and master's degree programs on the basis of ensuring the quality of selected students.

3. Selection method

1. Each college (department, institute) shall arrange the selection and recommendation work according to the needs of graduate training and discipline construction, and must arrange leaders and dedicated personnel to be responsible for this Work.

2. Following the principles of fairness, fairness and openness, selection will be carried out through individual application, recommendation by tutors and units, expert review, and merit-based admission. Each college (department, institute) is responsible for the selection and recommendation work; the Graduate School organizes expert reviews and determines the list of candidates to be selected.

3. The National Study Abroad Fund-funded personnel study abroad projects mainly rely on cooperation channels between colleges (departments, institutes) and tutors and foreign high-level educational institutions to select and dispatch; at the same time, the Ministry of Education/Study Abroad Fund Committee and the school’s foreign affairs office can be used It is dispatched through existing cooperation project channels with foreign universities and scientific research institutions; jointly trained master's students are dispatched through existing Sino-foreign cooperation projects on campus.
