Located in Hengyang City, Hunan Province, University of South China is a comprehensive university jointly established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China National Nuclear Corporation, China Nuclear Industry Construction Corporation and Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is a university supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions of the country and was selected into the education and training plan for outstanding engineers.
