The 2024 medical insurance payment is due on December 31, 2023.
1. Centralized payment time: September 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024 is the centralized payment period for basic medical insurance premiums for urban and rural residents in 2024.
2. Payment standards: In 2024, individual contributions to the basic medical insurance for urban and rural residents shall be paid at a standard of no less than 380 yuan per person; if the state has new regulations on individual contributions, those regulations shall prevail.
Individual contributions should be paid annually within the prescribed payment period.
Except for newborns, urban and rural residents who participate in insurance and pay premiums from July 1 to December 31, 2024 should pay the financial subsidy standard and personal payment standard for that year in one lump sum.
3. Payment time and benefit enjoyment time: (1) Continuous insurance payment.
Urban and rural residents who pay the 2024 basic medical insurance premiums during the centralized payment period can enjoy the new year’s basic medical insurance benefits from January 1, 2024.
(2) Initial insurance payment.
Urban and rural residents who are insured for the first time and pay the 2024 premium during the centralized payment period can enjoy basic medical insurance benefits in the new year from January 1, 2024.
Those who pay the 2024 annual premium from March 1 to June 30, 2024, will begin to enjoy the new basic medical insurance benefits from the 1st of the next month after full payment.
(3) Interrupt insurance premium payment.
If the renewal payment is interrupted for more than one year, those who pay the 2024 premium during the centralized payment period will enjoy benefits from January 1, 2024; those who pay the 2024 premium after the centralized payment period will enjoy benefits from the third month after full payment
Enjoy the new basic medical insurance benefits from March 1st.
Those who participate in urban and rural residents' medical insurance within 3 months of the suspension of employee medical insurance payment will not have a waiting period and will enjoy the new basic medical insurance benefits from the 1st of the month of enrollment and payment.
(4) Overdue insurance payment.
If urban and rural residents pay their premiums overdue, they will begin to enjoy new basic medical insurance benefits from the 1st of the following month after paying the basic medical insurance premiums in full for the current year.
(5) Newborn insurance premiums.
If a newborn joins the insurance and pays the premium within 3 months after birth, he or she will enjoy basic medical insurance benefits from the date of birth.
