The college attaches great importance to scientific research and has achieved remarkable results.

The scientific research funding of our institute has increased significantly. In the past three years, the total scientific research funding has been nearly 36 million yuan. Since 2000, our institute has undertaken 84 scientific research projects at the provincial and ministerial levels and above, and its scientific research achievements have won national and provincial awards.

The above awards were given 11 times, 4 achievements passed department and bureau-level appraisals, and 3 invention patents were obtained.

Among them: in 2004, the research team headed by Professor Luo Xiaonan of our institute won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; the research team headed by Professor Huang Jiwu won the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education; the research team headed by Professor Tang Yong won the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award.
