In one day, the teacher gave us an analysis of what educational drama is, and also showed us how to design teaching activities with picture books through activity experience, which gave me a new understanding of educational drama.

1. Let every life shine with drama

1. Drama and education

The teacher's lecture in the morning is "Let every life shine with drama". In this part, Mr. Yu first shared a part of his growing experience from childhood. When it comes to self-confidence gained by performing drama in primary school and changing our interpersonal relationship and personality by attending a drama club in college, we have a new thinking about drama and realized the significance of drama to children's growth. Then Mr. Yu shared his drama study in college and graduate school, so that we could see the drama from different perspectives.

Then, Teacher Yu throws out two questions, which makes everyone think: What do you think of when you mention drama? What do you think is the relationship between drama and education? In the teachers' answers, I heard that "drama is like life, and life is like drama". Drama has a lot to do with music, fine arts, performing arts and so on. Drama is actually around us, not far away from these answers. On the second question, everyone talked about that drama is a form of education. Drama gives children the feelings and experiences of life and helps them learn the truth of being a man and doing things. Drama has the functions of education, warning and cultural transmission. Through these two questions, we see that drama is actually around us, with many forms of presentation, and drama can bring us a lot of things.

definition of educational drama: educational drama is to engage in education and teaching by means of drama or theater skills. It does not aim at performance, but promotes people's social learning by means of drama, which plays a positive role in promoting people's cognitive development, emotion, personality and social development.

in this definition, I think it is worth noting that the purpose of educational drama is not performance, but the drama itself is only a way, and the real purpose is to educate, train and develop people.

At the same time, Teacher Yu throws a second topic for everyone to discuss in this part: Do you think educational drama is the same as drama education? What are the differences? Do you think primary education pays more attention to the educational or artistic nature of drama?

? Through everyone's answers and the teacher's explanation, my understanding is that both of them are presented in the form of drama, and both of them have educational and artistic values. The difference is that drama education is biased towards professional drama performance, etc., which cultivates professional drama-related talents and attaches importance to the final results, such as film and television works; However, the object of educational drama is students, without paying attention to the professionalism of performance. The image or not of performance is not the key point, but what the students realize and grow up in this process. I personally think it is a classic sentence: drama is the art of self-viewing. And the study of this part of the content makes me more clear about what educational drama is.

3. The basic idea of educational drama

The teaching view of educational drama: the concept of constructivism, in a nutshell, learning is the process of students' own understanding and construction (that is, self-knowledge), rather than simple knowledge transmission. In other words, learning should be actively absorbed by students, not passively accepted.

Drama is really perceived and experienced by the body, so it will be more impressive and meaningful.

5. Ways to implement educational drama in primary school

The teacher shared three common ways to implement educational drama in primary school. School-based curriculum is in the middle, and it can have different forms and contents for low, middle and high grades; Drama club is a boutique activity of a few people. In the afternoon training, Mr. Yu showed us how to warm up, how to set scenes, create stories, exchange and share, and how to combine the contents of picture books with drama activities to achieve the purpose of education, which inspired us very much. Every activity, teacher Yu not only lets us personally participate in the experience, but also summarizes after the activity, telling the purpose and matters needing attention of the activity, so that we can better understand the main points.

Besides, what should I do to get a picture book? Teacher Yu also gave the answer-the "five-step method" of picture book analysis, that is, analyzing the content of picture books from five aspects to find the breakthrough point of activities.
