Office workers, in particular, realize their various investment goals through the fixed investment of the fund. When setting the fixed investment cycle, they mainly focus on monthly fixed investment, and the deduction time is also set in the days of salary payment.
However, some investors will choose the method of weekly fixed investment. According to statistics, in contrast, the yield of weekly fixed investment will be slightly higher than that of monthly fixed investment, so I won't discuss it in detail here.
If it is an investor who is set to make a fixed investment every week, when is the most appropriate deduction? We still speak with data.
Taking the Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index Fund as an example, this paper selects three different targets (two passive index types and one enhanced index type) which were established earlier, and calculates their returns on different investment days from the establishment date.
The result is quite unexpected: from Monday to Friday, the result is not much different, and the highest and lowest yields are only about the same. If we really want to find out which day is the most profitable, it is "Thursday", and all three index funds participating in the calculation show such a trend.
But why were the yields of the three funds slightly higher on Thursday? What's special about Thursday?
Let's make a comparison through the market situation. The data counts the decline probability and average rise and fall of the Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index, which represents the broader market, from Monday to Friday near 18. The results show that Thursday is the day with the greatest probability of decline and the only day with negative average ups and downs. The probability of falling on Thursday is 55%, and the other Mondays to Fridays are 44%, 43%, 50% and 46% respectively, so the probability of buying a fund with higher cost performance on Thursday is greater. This is also the reason why Thursday's fixed investment will earn more. The data comes from WIND data.
In order to better illustrate the general situation of last year, we also refer to the decline probability and average fluctuation range of Shanghai Composite Index, China Securities 500 Index and Growth Enterprise Market Index on different days from Monday to Friday since their release.
The results are also surprisingly consistent. These large-scale indexes have the highest probability of falling on Thursday, all above 50%. Judging from the average ups and downs on Thursday, except for the Shanghai Composite Index, all other indexes are negative.
From this, we can completely draw a conclusion: if you make a fixed investment every week, you can set the deduction date as Thursday every week, which will make more money.
What if you make a fixed investment and the deduction date is not set on Thursday? Actually, we don't have to worry too much. It can also be seen from the results of the data that no matter what day of the week, the results are very different after the cycle is lengthened, so there is no need to be too entangled.
It is most important to make a fixed investment according to discipline, and do the single operation of adding positions when the market plummets, so that the income will be more obviously improved.
For example, if the market falls more than 3% in a single day, you can add positions, or if it falls more than 10% for five consecutive trading days, you can also add positions; When the floating loss of fixed investment falls below 10%, 20% and 30% in turn, the amount of jiacang doubles, and so on. These are the ways to add positions every time you fall.
