The Institute has developed into a national well-known medical research institution integrating basic pediatrics, clinical medicine, higher medical education and preventive health care medicine.

The Institute has WHO Children's Health Cooperation Center, China Children's Health Disease Prevention and Control Guidance Center, China-Canada Children's Health Research Cooperation Center and Beijing Infection and Immunity Center Laboratory. The Institute is the chairman of the Child Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and the China Pediatrician Association. The offices of national professional societies, such as China Committee of Concerned Experts for the Next Generation, Song Qingling Foundation Pediatric Award Fund Committee and China Community Health Association, are located in the Institute. Study all well-known experts who hold leadership positions in national professional societies and associations.
