Years of scientific research practice have formed stable research directions, such as "optimization and numerical simulation of mining engineering" and "research on mining process optimization by caving mining method", and undertaken national, provincial and ministerial scientific research projects 15, including 8 scientific research projects, such as "study on the shape and effect of caving ore by sublevel caving without sill pillar (1995)" funded by the former Ministry of Metallurgy.

Seven projects, such as "Research and Application of Sublevel Caving without Pillar", have passed the provincial and ministerial technical appraisal, and their research is at the international leading level, winning seven provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress awards, creating remarkable economic and social benefits for the country;
