With the rapid economic development, as Huzhou people, we have witnessed not only the great changes in Huzhou over the past decade, but also the increasingly serious water pollution in Huzhou.

Huzhou is named after the lake, which is one of the main upstream water sources of Taihu Lake. Therefore, the quality of Huzhou water has a great impact. Nowadays, the water pollution in Huzhou City is obvious to everyone in Huzhou.

My home is located next to the "Mother River". As soon as I walk to the window facing the river, I can see a large area of green aquatic plants floating on the mother river, or some of them may be microorganisms. In short, that kind of green is unnatural and uncomfortable to look at, so I judged that this phenomenon should be a "water bloom" phenomenon caused by eutrophication pollution of water bodies through junior high school knowledge. In addition to these plants and microorganisms, we can also see large-scale domestic garbage floating on the river from time to time, and needless to say, those small-scale garbage can be seen all the time. In addition to the serious situation on the mother river, as long as you look carefully into the river again, you will find that the water is very dark and strangely deep. When you meet such a river, I think no matter who it is, you will guess the reason for it.

(1). Excessive application of chemical fertilizers will make the soil contain too much nitrogen and phosphorus, which will flow with the water to other water bodies. In addition, people use a large number of chemical products such as phosphorus-containing detergents, which will greatly increase the nitrogen and phosphorus content in rivers and lakes (it is estimated that the current industrial nitrogen fixation on the earth is twice the biological nitrogen fixation in nature). Abundant nutrients in water make algae multiply in large quantities, so that "water bloom" will appear in fresh water and "red tide" will appear in the ocean. When these algae die, a large amount of dissolved oxygen is consumed by bacteria to decompose these organic substances, so that a large number of organisms (such as fish, mollusks, etc.) that need oxygen in the water body die. At this time, the water body will turn black and smelly, and the water quality will deteriorate seriously.

(2). I have seen residents living nearby dumping all kinds of domestic garbage into the river several times, even throwing plastic foam into the river. In addition, I also saw residents across the river cleaning toilets or brushing their teeth in the river. Everyone may think that brushing their teeth is a trivial matter, but the accumulated brushing water will also pollute the river! However, the most incredible thing is that there are people washing clothes in such dirty water. However, these behaviors are not puzzling. They are probably all manifestations of the dark side of human morality. From this, we can see that a large part of Huzhou citizens are very lacking in moral quality. However, I really don't understand that the pollution of the river is not good for the surrounding residents. The surrounding residents actually watched the water quality of the mother river deteriorate day by day, but they still didn't stop polluting the river! This really failed the hard work of sanitation workers and stained the word "Mother River".

(3). According to the information on the Internet, it is shown that typhoons can also cause water pollution: the rainstorm brought by "Mai Sha" causes the water pollution of some falling pools in the urban area, and affects the domestic water consumption of nearby residents, causing the blockage of nearby underground waterways, and there is also the phenomenon that polluted water flows backwards. These water quality are easily polluted by infectious bacteria such as bacteria and Escherichia coli. Once the residents drink it, it will cause diarrhea, typhoid fever, dysentery and other intestinal diseases.

The above three points are the possible causes of water pollution in Huzhou.

In Huzhou, due to the rapid development of township industry, a large number of mining and stone washing, coupled with agricultural non-point source pollution (also known as non-point pollution sources, mainly refers to the runoff formed by rural irrigation water, unorganized wastewater discharged from rural areas, surface runoff and other wastewater and sewage. A small amount of scattered sewage can also be listed as a non-point source of pollution), and the water flowing into Taihu Lake is of three kinds of water bodies all the year round (Class III water bodies: secondary protection zones for centralized drinking water sources, first-class fish protection zones, swimming areas, etc.). Gradually, even the drinking water quality of Huzhou, which is named after the lake, is not optimistic. Because the location of water intakes in most water plants is not reasonable, and the scope of water source protection areas is not clearly defined and the management is not standardized, it is easy to cause water source environmental pollution.

Two waterworks in Huzhou city, opposite the water intake of Chengbei Waterworks, farmers litter, which often pollutes the water quality; The water source protection area of Chengxi Waterworks is located on the main channel, which is often polluted by boat people's life and fuel oil, and there is actually an old ship trading dock in the protection area. In Nanxun, a famous town in the south of the Yangtze River, not only the raw water of its waterworks is often four types of water bodies (ⅳ types of water bodies: industrial water areas, recreational water areas where human bodies are not in direct contact), but what is even more worrying is that the waterworks are close to the hospitals in the town and are vulnerable to the threat of medical wastewater. Originally, Huzhou benefited from the scouring of Xitiao River, and the drinking water quality has been very good. However, the present situation is worrying.

At the beginning of 26, there was a storm caused by chemicals being discharged into the tap water source in Huzhou, which caused panic among the citizens of the city at that time, but fortunately, the government resolutely handled this public crisis.

this pollution incident happened on February 1th. On the same day, Huzhou Hydrological Station took water samples from two monitoring points of Yangjiabu and Chengbei Bridge in Huzhou. The staff was surprised to find that the phenol in the water samples exceeded the standard seriously. Huzhou Hydrological Station immediately reported to the municipal government. After Huzhou Environmental Protection Bureau received an urgent telephone call from Huzhou Municipal Government, the environmental monitoring team and accident investigation team immediately rushed to the scene that night. When the collected water samples were tested and treated, it was found that the pollution was caused by the abnormal volatile phenol in the sewage discharged from Huzhou Hongou New Synthetic Materials Co., Ltd. Tested by the environmental protection department of Huzhou City, the concentration of volatile phenol in the sewage discharged by Hongou Company seriously exceeded the standard, and the concentration of volatile phenol in sewage outfalls was as high as 172mg/L, which was 85 times higher than the standard. The concentration of volatile phenol in the rainwater well at the entrance of the resin workshop of Hongou Company is as high as 89.8mg/L, which is 17,959 times higher than the standard. The sewage pipe network near Hongou Company was affected by the sewage discharged by the company, and the concentration of volatile phenol in the sewage well at the intersection of Cai Feng Road and Licun Road was as high as 186mg/L, which was 92 times higher than the standard. The concentration of volatile phenol in the rainwater pipe near Hongou Company also exceeded the standard seriously. Most of the monitored rainwater wells exceeded the standard by hundreds to thousands, and some of them reached tens of thousands. Among them, the concentration of volatile phenol in Jixiang Road rainwater well was as high as 27mg/L at noon on February 12, exceeding the standard by more than 5, times. Such a serious pollution of volatile phenol (belonging to volatile phenolic substances, phenol and its compounds are toxic substances, and high concentrations of phenol and its compounds will cause acute poisoning, even coma and death), if it is not discovered and treated in time by relevant institutions, the consequences will be unimaginable.

It is not only water pollution, but also various ways of pollution. Only by relying on everyone's good environmental protection consciousness can it be possible to reproduce the beautiful scenery of Huzhou in the past!

Relevant suggestions:

Government: 1. Strengthen the standardized management of water intake, and strictly enforce the system of water intake permit and paid water use. Any unit or individual that needs to take water resources directly from rivers, lakes or underground must apply to the relevant departments in accordance with the regulations, and can only take water after obtaining permission, and ask them to pay the water fee according to law, and take water in strict accordance with the regulations without wasting water resources.

2. widely publicize the importance of protecting water resources, and carry out publicity and education on water resources through various media to enhance the awareness of water resources conservation and protection in the whole society.

3. Strengthen the construction of water conservancy projects, take effective measures to improve the ecological environment and improve the utilization rate of water resources.

4. strengthen law enforcement, maintain the normal development and utilization of water resources, and intensify the crackdown on wanton waste and exploitation of water resources.

Residents: 1. Use phosphorus-free detergent;

2. Use chemicals as little as possible;

3. Do not dump domestic garbage into the river.

Conclusion:

At present, the water pollution situation in Wuxing District is serious. The government must strengthen the management, protection and supervision system of water quality, residents must regulate their own behavior, enterprises should be proud of protecting water resources, and everyone should be ashamed of wasting and polluting water resources. Water-the source of life, everyone has the responsibility to protect and save water resources. Without it, not only us, but every living thing on the earth will cease to exist. Water is so important, but it is not inexhaustible. It needs to be cherished by everyone.
